Before You Sign In for the First Time
Preparation prevents most first day confusion. Make sure the app is fully installed and updated, that you are entering details in the correct fields, and that the keyboard language or automatic capitalisation is not quietly changing your password. Password fields are case sensitive, and a single automatic capital letter has locked out more users than any server problem in history.
The checklist in this section is deliberately practical, because signing in and managing access improves fastest when a few basics are repeated until they become automatic. Work through the points in order, notice which ones you already do without thinking, and give the others a full session of attention before moving on. Small, repeatable habits are what separate players who improve every week from players who repeat the same first week for a year.
ICPV Book key points on this step:
- Install and update the app first
- Check keyboard language and capitals
- Enter details slowly and exactly
- Keep credentials written somewhere safe offline
- Use your own device where possible
